My friends and I (7 of us) stayed at White Birch in Waterbury, Vermont in January 2015. We had a wonderful time and appreciated the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts. They maintain a beautifully decorated cottage that was comfortable for three couples and an additional person (as well as one more additional person if you have an 8th person). It’s very close to Waterbury (about 10 minutes or so), which has great restaurants like Prohibition Pig and Blue Stone and the cottage is about 35 minutes to Stowe Mountain (20-25 to Sugarbush and Madriver Glen). We loved that the cottage was down a dirt road, nestled in the forests, but make sure you have a good car on the road if the weather is bad. The owners have made great efforts in their choice of furnishing and nick-nacks and the place is really wonderful and classic Vermont. The kitchen is also well-appointed – we easily cooked a large dinner for the 7 of us.
We would all highly recommend staying at beautiful White Birch Cottage and very much enjoyed meeting the owners (as well as the cute Beagle and Black Lab).
